December 2013 onwards – CEO at Neura. I offer consulting, training, and supervision to teams within healthcare organizations that offer mental health services. I also offer personal neuropsychological consultations, conduct cognitive assessments, and plan interventions for individuals with various mental health issues to maximize personal well-being.

Previous

March 2021 to October 2021 – Project Manager (Mental Health Care Pathway) at the Estonian Health Insurance Fund. As the main outcome of the project, the care pathway of a working-age person with depression was mapped, critical problem areas identified, and solutions for policy-making and system-level intervention development proposed.

December 2020 to October 2021 – Mental Health Service Manager at MinuDoc. In the area of digital mental health and well-being, I participated in service design, key business account management, and business strategy development.

November 2019 to September 2021 – Clinical Neuropsychologist at Sensus. I partook in neuropsychological consultations, conducted cognitive assessments, and planned interventions for people with various mental health issues. I also contributed to the Neuromodulation team (rTMS service design, treatment pathway selection, and patient consultations).

October 2018 to December 2020 – Adviser at the Department of Social Welfare, Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs (Tallinn, Estonia). Within the broader theme of active and healthy aging, I strived towards building a better future specifically for people with dementia and their caregivers through evidence-based policymaking. I also participated in fostering measures that support the creation and implementation of digital solutions (assistive technology, remote monitoring etc.) and other innovative approaches in caregiving.

September 2017 – August 2019 – Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Experimental Psychology, Institute of Psychology, University of Tartu, Estonia. Clinical and therapeutic applications of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) in patients with Parkinson’s disease and treatment-resistant depression (in cooperation with BachmannLab)

February 2018 – September 2018 – Clinical Neuropsychologist at the 4 Clinic Psychiatry Center & Sleep Center (Tallinn, Estonia). Clinical neuropsychological services for adult patients with suspected cognitive and/or sleep disorders. Adult ADHD diagnostics.

August 2011 – September 2018 – Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Neurology Center, East Tallinn Central Hospital (Tallinn, Estonia). Clinical neuropsychological services for the adult and geriatric patient population with neurological illnesses. Scope: Neurodegeneration & Aquired Brain Injury. Older Adult Neuropsychiatry. Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and the full spectrum of dementia syndromes. Cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) and stroke, Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, acquired brain injury. Responsibilities: Mental Health Assessments, Assisting in Care Planning, Liaison Consulting for other Departments and Clinics.

January 2013 – September 2016 – Consulting Clinical Neuropsychologist, Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Cognuse Neuroscience LLC. Researching and designing digital solutions for conducting neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation.

September 2012 – September 2013 – Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Clinic of Medical Rehabilitation, East Tallinn Central Hospital. Temporary position at the Neurorehabilitation Department. Clinical neuropsychological services and cognitive rehabilitation for the adult post-acute neurological population. Scope: Stroke and traumatic brain injury.

May 2011 – July 2011 – Clinical Neuropsychology Intern at the Neurology Center, East Tallinn Central Hospital.

September 2008 – February 2011 – Neuropsychology Research Intern at the Department of Neurology & Neurorehabilitation, Tartu University Hospital Children’s Clinic. During this period, we studied plasticity of children’s language lateralization after pediatric stroke, focusing mainly on the relationships of brain activation patterns and their neurocognitive correlates. My responsibility was the neuropsychological assessment of healthy controls at the Children’s Clinic using the NEPSY-I test battery. Additionally, I contributed to the design and implementation of the fMRI study.
